Business Accelerator Group (BAG) Now Accepting Applications!
Pre-launch and current business owners can now apply for Durham Tech Small Business Center (SBC)'s Business Accelerator Group. This summer, the SBC will launch two cohorts; Cohort A is for entrepreneurs with a great idea who have not yet launched, and Cohort B is for businesses that have been operating for 1-5 years. Participants will learn essential small business skills and receive personalized coaching, as well as support and networking with their peers! For more information, view the applicationnow.
NC Department of Revenue Business Recovery Grant Program: Phase II
The North Carolina Department of Revenue (NCDOR) is now accepting applications for Phase II of their Business Recovery Grant Program. Many businesses that did not qualify for Phase I are now able to apply. The application is open until June 1, 2022.Read more.
Duke Energy Supports Small Businesses Through Microgrants
The Duke Energy Foundation will award 20 North Carolina communities a $25,000 grant via local 501c3 nonprofits. The nonprofit organization may apply for grant funding online. If they are awarded, they will distribute the funds as microgrants ($500-2,500) to individual small businesses through a small business support system. These systems will focus on downtown storefront businesses with fewer than 50 employees.
Durham County Implements New eBid System
The Durham County Purchasing Division has implemented a new eBid system. This new user-friendly, web-based system includes an electronic Supplier Registration process that will allow vendors to register online at no cost to the vendor.
